I went with the idea of Rapunzel sitting in her tower dreaming of seeing the floating lights, so the lantern, the background and the other lights at the back are just part of her daydream, which is why you can see part of the tower walls at the sides. I used some gold pen in the background for some of the lanterns but I don't know how clear it is now it's been scanned in!
